USS Nevada BB36 off Oahu Hawaii en route to the West Coast for upkeep in Sep 1941 as the last halcyon days of peace slip away

USS Nevada BB36 underway during the Pearl Harbor attack on 7 Dec 1941. Nevada was the only battleship to get underway during the attack

USS Nevada BB36 leads the Aleutian Islands (Attu and Kiska) Alaska landing force in May 1943.

USS Nevada BB36 off Cherborg France during the D-Day landing operations in June 1944.

USS Nevada BB36 charges the beach to support navy frogmen clearing landing obstacles who had come under fire from shore batteries.

USS Nevada was hit off Okinawa on 27 Mar 1945. And although damaged Nevada was able to carry on and support the troops ashore.
