USS Nevada in Ulithi Atoll in March 1945 with the invasion force for Okinawa.

USS Nevada anchored in Bikini Atoll for the test able atomic bomb shot in July 1946. The Nevada was painted bright orange as the aiming point for the drop. The bomb is suspended over the bow on a parachute.
